God morgen, my dearest the.ego.tripper.fans, hur mår du? Köttbullar, knäckebrot. Alright, you got me, Swedish is not a language I’m very familiar with. But that will change in the near future. Yes, yesterday I booked a flight to Stockholm for the very first weekend of September. And I must say I’m quite excited. I’ve been to Sweden before, but only to Malmö. Most Swedes would probably say that’s not even Sweden (it’s only a short train ride away from Copenhagen).

As a huge fan of the Millennium trilogy I felt it was about time I’d pay Stockholm a visit. At first glance, on google images that is, Stockholm seems to be pretty special. With all the water and the islands, it must have a special atmosphere. What do you think? Ah, you stopped thinking when you saw the photograph of the Swedish fisherman. Yes, I have to explain: you see, because I’ve never been to Stockholm I wasn’t able to use my own photography. So I had to get these pictures from somewhere else. And for the first time in the.ego.tripper’s history, I used Foter, an online database with free stock photos. And as you can see, they have special kinds of photographs. Honestly, I’m not even sure if these pictures actually represent Stockholm, but who cares? Look how pretty – except for the eighties ass – they all are. Really, they make me wanna get a dragon tattoo, play with fire and kick the hornet’s nest (joke only funny for those who read the trilogy. And maybe then still not so funny. Sorry bout that!)

Anyway, for the practical side of things: I’m still looking for a cool, but affordable hotel. If you happen to know a cool place, please let me know. If you happen to are a cool place, please offer me a room for free. Also, if you have any tips, if there’s something I have to see while in Stockholm, if you have any recommendations, please write it down in a comment. The best tips will be rewarded with a warm ‘thank you’. Thank you in advance!
