You see this button? Look at it. It’s so pretty. It’s so shiny. I know you wanna just click it. Go ahead. It’ll make you feel good. Great even. Because it’s the right thing to do. But why does it feel so wrong then? Well, basically cause you’re just giving me money to fund my upcoming trips. And this confuses you. Why would YOU want to give ME money to do something I already love and do. The answer is simple, my friend: cause you cannot say no to something hip and trendy like crowdfunding. I’m your crowd and I say: FUND ME! Honestly, give me your money. It’s for a good cause. A cause that will not save the rhinos from going extinct, but it will put a smile on my face. And what is important here, ladies and gentlemen? Those five rhinos that don’t even want to procreate? Or me, the man who puts a smile on your face every day? You know I’m right, right? By donating some of your money you will allow me to be happy. And therefore you’ll be happy. It’s called ‘paying it forward’. I call it ‘pay me now’. By donating 10 euros or more you can also expect a beautiful greeting card mailed to your address. Not emailed. Mailed. And handwritten by the.ego.tripper. Mostly foul language. You’ll love it. You know you will. So what do you think: be kind, pay it forward and crowdfund my next trip. When I raise a few thousand euros, I promise I will not spend it on homeless people or helping out in animal shelters. No sir/ma’am, all of your money will go towards first class/business air travel, luxury hotels, expensive restaurants and such. Honestly, how can you still not have clicked that button? Com’on people, show me your heart and your money. Y’all want to be hip and trendy crowdfunders, don’t you?

the.ego.tripper loves family resorts, bingo, kids peeing in the pool, breakfast buffets, hotel animation, tourist traps and group day tours.
